PREM 0200 (for Mathematics) and PRER 0200 (for Reading and Writing) are new, computer-based courses to improve your mathematics, reading, and writing skills as rapidly as possible to prepare you for college-level credit instruction.

Both PREM 0200 and PRER 0200 are four-week courses that will take place in computer labs. You will spend at least 8 hours during each week of a four-week course in a computer lab. However, you can spend more hours as you want, either in the lab or at home, to advance your skills more rapidly.

Take the COMPASS test during your Pre-Enrollment Information Session. An advisor will let you know whether you are required to take PREM 0200 or PRER 0200. Unlike traditional courses, your PREM or PRER experience will be individually tailored to your exact needs, based on COMPASS or other placement test scores. Upon course completion, you will once again take the COMPASS placement test.

This new approach helps you advance more quickly to the next developmental level or place immediately into college-level courses.
Check the HCC Schedule now for PRER 0200 or PREM 0200 courses at all colleges.

These courses will help you save both time and money.
