The Office of International Initiatives is spearheading the 5th annual search for the most talented students and faculty members to participate in the 2012 International Study Programs 53 and 54 of the Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria.

Candidates must be interested in developing an understanding of global issues, solving problems and unexpected challenges, also embracing opportunities with enthusiasm. Additionally, they must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in multicultural teams.

We are asking our faculty members to encourage qualified HCC students to apply for this prestigious opportunity.

A cohort of six HCC students will be selected by HCC College Presidents and will attend the International Study Program 53 from May 30 to June 6, 2012. Selected student ambassadors must enroll in GOVT 2389 with Prof. John Speer. OII pre-departure meetings and blog entries are mandated.

A cohort of three HCC faculty members will be selected by a committee formed by previous faculty ambassadors and the executor director of OII. Selected faculty ambassadors will attend the International Study Program 54 from July 8 to 15, 2012. OII pre-departure meetings and blog entries are mandated.
